Who Am I?

Introduction

We've been watching Steve Milano's antics for several years now, so we have a pretty good idea of how he operates. This site will teach you all you need to know to be a perfect Steve Milano. All evidence taken from public websites he has posted to, or emails he's had with people that were so outrageous they were circulated around the internet. Not one word here is made up, and links are always included so you can verify everything yourself.

The important thing to remember is this. These are not isolated incidents, or Steve having a bad day. He behaves this way consistently, year after year, in nearly every discussion he has with anyone, anywhere, on any subject. Look at the dates on the postings and see!

To master the art of Steve Milano, there is no better way than to examine the words Steve himself has written, and so we present them to you in a step-by-step fashion in the hopes that you can gain insight into Steve Milano's character. To understand him is the best thing you can do in your path to become Steve Milano.

Step One: Pick a fight with someone on the internet.

It doesn't really matter with whom, or why. This first step is crucial to being Steve Milano -- barge your way into a discussion, harrass random people, sling insults like it's going out of style.

You see, this has been Steve's standard operating procedure for years. Check out the evidence for yourself!

Here's Steve on a web forum a few years ago. The topic isn't important. Someone addresses Steve (he's going by the name "megabyteme"), claiming that perhaps he should read the entire topic before discussing it:

Fine. Not exactly Shakespeare, but hardly an attack or anything.

Steve's immediate response is to rip into this person, hurling vicious, personal insults and ad hominem attacks. Out of nowhere.

You read that right. Based on that one post, Steve has decided she's a wannabe writer, a loser, uninformed, pathetic, ignorant, insults her and all housewives, and tells her to keep her mouth shut.

To be Steve Milano, you must react to everyone this way. Regardless of what they say, if they happen to disagree with you or say something you don't like, attack them without mercy.

The idea here is to hijack a conversation; to cause whatever discussion was previously taking place to degenerate into an argument about whether or not you're a jerk.

Notice how Steve Milano grossly misinterprets things, or outright lies, to keep the fight going, or as an excuse to start it? The original poster did not call Steve himself "ridiculous". She said that his statement was ridiculous. However, in order to be like Steve Milano, you must turn off your reading comprehension skills, and see what you want to see, not what is actually written. Remember -- to Steve Milano, everything is a personal affront and thus an excuse to start a fight.

For a proper Steve Milano effect, you should do this often enough that people are already familiar with who you and your standard operating procedure, such that the first mention of your name causes people to give up whatever discussion they were having before you came along.

Another internet thread destroyed. Good work! See the entire thread for yourself, and study it carefully. This went on for three solid pages. In time, by imitating this style, you can be Steve Milano.

Don't stick to just one part of the web, though. Starting fights with total strangers, for no reason, should be something you do with alarming regularity!

Here's Steve Milano in a mailing list.

First, Steve proposes an idea. Nothing really exciting, but no problem so far.

So far, so good. Then, someone replies to him, hoping to add to the discussion.

Fair enough.

But watch! Observe carefully how Steve Milano takes that innocent and legitimate reply, and raises holy hell!

As before, Steve Milano attacks someone out of nowhere. To be Steve Milano, you must do this as well. Study the entire posting on the spamcop mailing list for yourself, and learn it well.

Irrespective of where you find yourself on the Internet, Step One should always be to instigate pointless, petty bickering, if you want to be like Steve Milano.
